I'm waiting for some information from Denali National Park about details of the upcoming season for the Sled Dog Puppy cam, so I can use it in a new blog. Meanwhile, I searched the old blogs for cams to put in this interim blog, with one exception. Can you figure out which one is new?

By the way, the Sled Dog Puppy cam just came online this evening, so I put it in the "11th cam" slot!

One of the best preserved monuments to ancient Native American culture and architecture lies near the Four Corners area of southwestern Colorado. Mostly built into sandstone alcoves and caves along south and southwestern-facing canyon cliffs, the Ancestral Puebloan people, or Anasazi, constructed adobe buildings with rooms and kivas. Some of these buildings, such as the...

In Glacier National Park around 2009, the local utility erected a platform for osprey to nest on, in hopes of keeping them out of a nearby transformer. Glacier staff set up a webcam in order to watch the osprey in action, and were rewarded with chicks hatching, growing, and eventually taking flight!

However, 2011 and 2012 were sad years for the osprey cam, as the chicks were...

Ha! I bet you all though this was going to be a half-baked blog! Actually, this blog features constuction cams! Bridges, buildings, hospitals, and dams are shown being built via webcams!

Construction cams are unique, because (1) they are usually not long term,(as soon as the project is done, no more cam) (2)generally change from one day to the next, and (3)usually has something ha...

Ode on the Spring
BY THOMAS GRAY
Lo! where the rosy-bosom'd Hours,
Fair Venus' train appear,
Disclose the long-expecting flowers,
And wake the purple year!
The Attic warbler pours her throat,
Responsive to the cuckoo's note,
The untaught harmony of spring:
While whisp'ring pleasure as they fly,
Cool zephyrs th...
