We had a storm blow through the area yesterday afternoon. Just shortly after 2pm a huge gust of wind hit the house and the power immediately went out. My son is getting married at our church just 1/2 a block away and there was no power there also. My wife and daughter stayed at my parents last night while I stayed home and kept the generator going so the frig and freezer would stay cold and take care of the dogs. Sleep for 2 hours refill the gas tank fire it up repe...

Northern Indiana Weather

I recorded less then a quarter of an inch over the weekend. Just enough to get the pavement wet, not nearly enough to do much good.The one bad thing I have discovered having a home weather station is I know how bad the heat and humidity is before I leave my nice air conditioned house.

Weather Station

My station went off-line while I was at work today. I had to reset my station when I got home to get it to transmit data again to Wunderground.com. I have gotten use to checking it throughout the day and it was odd not having the live data.
