It looks like the tropics are getting active. There is abundant moisture in the Caribbean and it won't take much for something to develop. This system would likely spin up in the Southwest Caribbean and would likely move N or NNE moving into the Florida west coast as a considerable tropical depression or Tropical Storm. Regardless, there will be abundant rain over Southern Florida and the Bahamas. Some models suggest this system will then move up the entire east coast and could be a considerable rainmaker.

I wrote in March and in April the first system in the Atlantic basin should form between May 17 and May 20. A very large system could possibly form at the end of May or beginning of June. Very early start this year. I know I said the same last year, but we shall see. If multiple systems hit the east coast, there should be very short times between them.

This is the Norwegian military drill team. The amazing thing is, they perform on ice. Look especially at minute 3:10.
