A sliver of red sky over Ross Island peeking out from under the cloud cover. Mainly overcast, a slight southerly draft, temp a pleasant 5C will rise a bit during the day. Wintry mix in the forecast, would think for our part of the world this means rain.

The arena being kept busy, more visiting hockey teams this weekend the PeeWee organized team heading into playoffs. The team lost both games this past weekend, thier first losses of the season. Playoffs to start soon, with all teams getting very close in the standings. Basketball tomorrow, a request to have the ferry hold up for an hour on the last trip is being considered by the decision makers to allow more folks to attend.

Good morning Rob.
We heard last night that the island population dropped by 1. The wife's uncle, Sheldon, passed away. When i talked with Hazel she was taking the loss of a brother hard.
Have a good day.

A dreary day here on the little Rock, Sheldon a friend of mine for as long as I can remember. Please let Hazel know he will be missed, will be remembered in many 'stories' with smiles and affection.

Dear Rob:

Drizzle and dreary are the order of the day here. Blah - but one of a handfull of days without sunshine. Suck it up!

See Grand Manan made the news once again - this time regarding the rights to a lobster license. Hope you all don't back down. The licenses should stay within the community. Good luck.

Have a great day. Word. Chunks.
