Southeast Providence Severe Watches & Warnings NOAA Weather Radio

Special Statement
Statement as of 11:42 AM EST on December 20, 2014

...Minor snow accumulations expected late today and especially tonight...

Scattered snow showers are expected this afternoon along the southeast coast of Massachusetts. The snow showers should then overspread the rest of central and eastern Massachusetts...as well as Rhode Island this evening. All precipitation should be in the form of snow...except for portions of southeast coastal Plymouth County where it should become mild enough for a change to rain showers.

A coating to 2 inches of snow is expected late today and especially tonight. There is a low risk for localized 3 to 4 inch snow amounts across portions of northwest Plymouth County and into Norfolk County as well as areas of coastal Essex County. Motorists planning travel late today and especially tonight should be prepared for slippery travel and snow covered roadways.
