The National Weather Service in Raleigh has issued a freeze watch...which is in effect from late Wednesday night through Thursday morning. The freeze warning remains in place for tonight through Wednesday morning.

* Temperatures...readings are expected to fall into the 28 to 32 degree range. Readings may be at or below the freezing mark for 3 to 5 hours between 3 am and 9 am. Temperatures are expected to drop to near or below 32 degrees late Wednesday night as well.

* Impacts...vegetation sensitive to these cold temperatures may be damaged or killed if precautions are not taken.

A freeze warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.
