... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 9 am CST
A Winter Weather Advisory for freezing rain and snow remains in effect
until 9 am CST Saturday.
* Location... the heaviest snow is expected along and east of
Interstate 35 and Highway 71.
* Timing... freezing drizzle or light freezing rain may occur
from late Friday morning through Friday afternoon. A change
over to snow will likely take place between 4 PM and 7 PM. The
heaviest snow will likely end by midnight Friday night. Light
snow will end Saturday morning.
* Snow/ice accumulations... ice accumulations up to a tenth of an
inch will be possible. Snow amounts ranging from 2 to 4 inches
will be possible... with some areas within the heavier snow
bands potentially receiving greater than 4 inches.
* Impacts... exposed surfaces including roadways will become
very slick. Once the snow begins... expect visibility to be
very low during the periods of heaviest snow. Roads could also
become quickly snow packed.
A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
