A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 6 PM CST this
* Timing... freezing rain... sleet... and snow... heavy at times...
will continue through the night. Mainly freezing rain and sleet
will fall southeast of a line from Poplar Bluff Missouri to
Evansville Indiana... with primarily snow and sleet north of that
line. In any one spot... a slow transition from freezing rain and
sleet to snow will occur through the course of the day. The
precipitation will come to an end as snow from west to east this
* Amounts... storm total ice accumulations will range from one
tenth to one quarter inch over northern portions of southern
Illinois and southwest Indiana... to as much as a half inch or
more over much of western Kentucky and The Boot heel region of
southeast Missouri. Total snow and sleet accumulations will
range as high as 10 to 14 inches along a corridor centered from
Piedmont Missouri to Benton Illinois to Princeton Indiana.
Totals of 4 to 8 inches may accumulate along a line from Poplar
Bluff Missouri to Paducah and Owensboro Kentucky by afternoon.
Only an inch or two is expected across the remainder of western

isolated power outages are possible... especially over western

you must travel... keep an extra flashlight... food... and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.
